ELECTRICAL DIVISION
Residential, Commercial & Strata Electrical Services
From panel upgrades and lighting design to EV charging and emergency repairs, our licensed electricians handle every project with care
WE HAVE THE EXPERIENCE
We help you with your electrical problem
Whether you’re planning a home renovation, fitting out a new office or managing a strata property, electrical work must be code‑compliant and safe. Primeline holds the experience and certifications to design, install and maintain electrical systems and can pull the appropriate installation permit when required. In BC, both licensed contractors and homeowners must obtain an electrical installation permit before doing regulated electrical work. Permits ensure the work is inspected and declared compliant by an FSR
4-Step Process
Our Process, Made Simple
We believe great construction starts with great communication. That’s why our process is built around transparency, trust, and timely execution — so you always know what to expect.
1. Consultation & Quote
We listen to your goals and walk through the site to understand the existing electrical system
2. Permitting & Planning
If a permit is needed (for example, EV charger installations), we’ll handle the paperwork and schedule any required inspections
3.Installation & Testing
Our certified electricians complete the work, perform load calculations when adding new equipment, and test for safety
4. Inspection & Documentation
We declare compliance under our FSR licence and provide you with a record of what was done for future reference.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our products and services.
Do I need a permit to upgrade my panel ?
Yes. In BC, electrical installation permits are required for most residential upgrades. Only qualified FSRs can declare compliance and request inspections
Why hire a licensed electrician?
Licensed contractors follow the Safety Standards Act and BC Electrical Code, preventing hazards and ensuring insurance validity
Can I do electrical work myself?
Homeowner permits are available for minor DIY projects, but major work (panels, EV chargers, additions) must be done or supervised by an FSR.
What’s involved in a commercial electrical upgrade?
Upgrades may include new panels, larger service capacity, LED retrofits and improved receptacle layouts. A licensed contractor will obtain permits and ensure the system meets code.
Do businesses need operating permits?
If your equipment exceeds 750 V, over 250 kVA, or is part of emergency/fire systems, an electrical operating permit may be required
Do strata buildings need an operating permit?
Many multi‑unit buildings require an electrical operating permit because their equipment demands ongoing maintenance or exceeds 250 kVA
How do we plan for EV charging in a condo?
Start with a load calculation and hire a licensed contractor. Permits are mandatory, and in some cases you may need both installation and operating permits
Do you provide emergency response?
Yes! We offer 24/7 emergency response for powerline and critical electrical issues. If a storm, falling tree, vehicle impact or equipment failure has taken out your private service, our crews are on call day or night to make the area safe and restore power quickly
